Double skinned sand-lime block wall - consists of prefabricated sand lime slabs of storey height with core insulation

The double-skinned masonry wall is formed of sand-lime bricks with an intervening heat-insulating layer. It consists of sand-lime slabs which are of storey height. The sand-lime blocks are pre-treated for improved joint mortar adhesion and binding. Layers of blocks, comprising inner and outer units are manually or mechanically prepared with the centre core insulation. Layer joint mortar is applied, and the whole layer is engaged by a grab and set down into a vertical, lowerable template frame and onto a palette, or onto the top layer of the rising slab.
