The prefabricated wall element (1) for the modular type erection of building walls is constructed in the form of a beam consisting of several interconnected separate elements (2-6) of sand-lime brick. The separate elements are constructed as sand-lime brick blocks and are stuck together on their abutting side faces. The adhesive between the sand-lime blocks is held by a thin bed of mortar. The wall element has several longitudinal rows of separate elements. The sand-lime blocks on their abutting end faces have alternating protrusions and slots for reciprocal engagement.
