The cross displacement mechanism is for the loading deck of a low-slung railway wagon, mounted on a guide wagon at each end which is led on a bogie frame. Each bogie frame has a guide pin at one end, swinging about a transverse horizontal axis, to swing into a guide bearing in the loading deck and be held in a vertical setting there. The guide pin can be swung out from both wagon sides by means of a hand-operated mechanism, coupled to a locking device. The latter allows the guide wagon to be unlocked when the pin is swung into the guide bearing, and to be locked in place before the pin is moved out from this into the wagon's longitudinal centre.
