Hard-boiled egg shelling machine - uses shelling members moving between shell and egg white to tear off shell

The hard-boiled egg shelling maching comprises a cutting mechanism (19) and several peeling members (20). They are mounted for movement relative to each other on a guide unit (11) so that after an opening has been cut into one end of the egg (5) the peeling or shelling members (20) are inserted through the opening between the egg shell and the egg white. The shelling members are moved along the inside of the egg shell to the other end of the egg and are then moved further into the egg where they then spread out to remove the egg shell from the egg. To start the process the egg (5) is placed with its rounded end on a suitably shaped support (3) so that the opening is made into the pointed end.
