Cross-flow cooling tower - has heat transfer units with individual water distribution and collection systems and blowers

The cross flow cooler has air fed into the atmosphere through a blower (4) with a vertical intake. The fluid either trickles from top to bottom over the heat transfer surfaces or flows into the inside of heat transfer blocks (1) which form closed inner chambers. The water is distributed over the heat transfer surfaces through a basin, and is collected by a further basin below the body. There are several units (3) consisting of the heat transfer bodies, (1), the water distribution basins (7) and the water collection basins (6). There is also an independent blower group (4), which consists of a rotor (12), a drive group (13) and holding-or frame construction (15).
