Secondary combustion plant using discharge fan - enables gases from primary combustion chamber to be transferred to radiation zone of plant

The plant ensuring secondary combustion of flue gases is used for heating boilers and aims at improving the thermal efficiencies. The secondary combustion plant (2) has a refractory-lined combustion chamber (4) with openings (6, 8) at the top, a burner (10) and a duct (12) connecting a fan assembly (14) to the opening (8). The suction- and the discharge side of the fan assembly (14) are positioned on the opposite side of the fan casing but staggered. The fan assembly takes hot flue gases from the primary combustion zone and discharges them via an opening (8) into the radiation zone (4) of the plant. The gases are directioned towards the path (16) of the fuel/air mixture of the burner (10). The mixing of the burner fuel/air mixture and the recirculated hot flue gases takes place in a counterflow pattern.
