The HF power switch has a switching head mounted on a hollow insulating support, and it has a mechanical drive system which is kept at earth potential. The driving force is transmitted from the drive system to the switching head by an insulating switching rod which is accommodated inside the insulating support. In order to avoid bending of the switching rod (2), one or several spacers (3) are provided between the support (1) and the rod (2). They are distributed over the length of the support (1).
