A combined rotary and impact operated cutting tool, suitable for making channels along walls, concrete, etc., has two arms (6), one each side of the drive shaft (1), designed to hold cutting blades (7). Between them is a cross piece (3) mounted between bearings (4) on the stepped end of the shaft. The arms are attached to the cross piece by sleeves which act as pivots for securing pins (5).
