Visual display unit with light pen - allows diagram production using characters and symbols held in memory

A video display system with light pen facility allows the development of composite drawings using symbols and characters held in a memory. With the keyboard (TAF1) located at the bottom of the display screen (SG), the top half is available for drawing development using a light pen. The light pen is used to identify a specific symbol or character on the keyboard which is then called up from memory onto the screen. When the diagram is complete the data is available in store. The technique is suited to circuit design and production.
