The unit can be manufactured for use as either manual or electronic or incorporate both indicating methods. The electronic version uses the LED or other light source to illuminate the Perspex section, its edges and /or an image etched/engraved into the Perspex section. The electronic unit is activated by an electrical switch and future models could be activated remotely by a mobile phone app. The manual unit has a symbol or attachment that is moved manually into position.
