The system is designed to fix a current distribution bar to a carrier rail by means of an insulating support. The insulating support (10) consists of two elements (11, 12) between which the carrier rail (14) is placed and fixed. The current distribution bar (13) being fixed by bolts (15) into slots on top of the element (11) of the insulating support (10). The carrier rail (14) is made from metal and can be of flat L or U shaped bar. The element (11) of the support (10) has slots in its under face into which projections (17) on the other element (12) engage. The carrier rail (14) has similar slots to those in the element (11) through which pass the projections (17) of the element (12).
