The musical note typewriter has an auxiliary unit which facilitates its use by blind musicians. A roller (2) is mounted on a carriage (1) and a coupling (3) on one end of the roller has a lever (4) attached rigidly to it carrying on its top a pointer (5). The pointer moves over a scale (9) marked in Braille on a sector limb (7) which is rigidly coupled at its lower end to the carriage. A second Braille scale (10) is fixed on the typewriter body parallel to the roller axis and has a pointer (11) fixed to the carriage moving over it.
