Toy building brick with rectangular profile - has slot in each face to receive flat coupling plate for connection to adjacent parallel bricks

An educational toy consists of four rectangular moulded tubes (2) which are linked together by a cross shaped central web (3). The tubular members (2) of the toy are located side by side and parallel to each other. A small gap (5) is provided between each member to a depth of about half the tube width. In order ot join several elements (1) together, a flat plastic coupling plate is used. By forcing the coupling into the slot (5) of two separate tube elements, they remain linked together due to the elasticity of the moulded plastic. End to end connections are produced by using cross shaped coupling elements.
