An exercising frame is used for arm and leg training and is attached to the foot end of a bed so that patients can start their exercises before they are able to get up. It is U-shaped and the upper horizonal beam (7) of the frame extends some distance over the bed. A handle frame (9) and on it two footrests (11) have an adjustable hinge connection (9a) at the free end of the support beam (7). A tension coil spring (24) at the base beam (1) of the support frame produces the force that must be overcome when the handle or the foot rests (11) are used to swing the upper support beam (7) from one side to the other.
