Mould release agent for polyurethane mouldings comprises a mixt. of (a) 30-40 wt. % potassium salts of =16C (un)satd. fatty acids, (b) 10 wt. % additives such as talcum, chalk, kaolin, etc., (c) =15 wt. % free (un)satd. fatty acids, (d) =25 wt. % esters, fatty oils, plasticisers and/or polyhydric alcohols and (e) 35-45 wt. % water, at a pH of 7-10. Residues of the release agents on the mouldings and on the mould can be removed easily using (warm) water only. They have good release properties, and are physiologically harmless. The high pH of the agents reduces corrosion of the mould.
