Continuous window upper chord - comprises lightweight angled profile with shank as sliding bearing in bar head cut=outs

The continuous upper chord (5) is made up from an angled profile piece of light metal. It has one shank firmly joined to the lintel (1), the other, open, shank being led onto the continuous cut out (4) at the head end of the bars (2), where it serves as a sliding bearing. This shank may be fitted with a sliding rail on the inside, to accommodate fitting pieces conforming to different thicknesses of glass. The upper chord can be an angled profile made of extruded aluminium or plastic.
