In the manufacture of dentures, an accessory (2) is used to anchor the individual teeth (13) in position during the pouring of the plaste cast. Each tooth base has an insert embedded into it, with a spike projecting from it, which is engaged from underneath by the accessory. This consists of a square section plastics sleeve (21) with an arm projecting sideways from it. This arm incorporates a row of sockets (23) interconnected by flat portions (22). The sleeve grips the spike projecting from the tooth. Between the innermost socket and the sleeve the horizontal arm has a notch (24). The sockets receive vertical support rods.
