The converter has a stationary unit with a parallel chamber system connected at the ends, with a ferromagnetic material distributed over the whole periphery. It is in sections heated above its Curie point, and then cooled below this point. A magnet system acts as a movable part. The magnet system comprises at least two magnets (1, 2) enclosing between them a sector. They horizontally face each other by unlike poles. A rack extending over the whole length is connected with the magnet system and drives a gear transmission.
