Weighing control for food slicing machine - generates digital signals to control slice thickness should weight deviate beyond set limits

Control system for cutting and weighing block-like food products, esp. cheese, regulates the thickness of the cut sections in relation to analogue signals generated by the weighing machine. The analogue signals are digitised in a converter and fed to a calibrating unit with a read-out display. The weighed out portions pass to a sorting unit which separates out those portions which exceed or fall short of preset weight limits. The digital signals from the calibrating unit are fed to a discriminator which only allows to pass those signals that correspond to weights between the boundary limits. These signals pass on to control the servo-motor for adjusting the thickness of cut.
