The motorised drive is for a venetian blind with vertical slats displaced horizontally and tilted together about their longitudinal axis. These are fastened to retainers movably inserted in a running rail, and tilted by a shaft passing through the retainers, both movements being promoted by a motor unit with reduction gear. The reduction gear incorporates a coupling component (6) with regulated displacement movement, selectively linking the motor to the displacement drive or to the tilting movement drive. This coupling component may be connected to a releasable rocker arm (8) which can be coupled at one end by a spring (7), and into the end of a spring-stressed rod (11). This ensures that only the drive for the required movement is coupled, while angle setting can be changed as much and as often as required, with central or individual control.
