Planting machine with furrow share and planting wheel - has planting grippers with jaws in form of two armed levers

The planting machine has a furrow share with pressure discs rotating on both sides of the drawn furrow and a planting wheel which rotates according to the travel speed. Planting grippers with jaws extend radially outwards are fitted to the planting wheel at angles corresp. to the plant spacing. The planting material is laid between the gripper jaws and is delivered behind the share in the region of the soil and the discs after corresp. turning of the planting wheel because of automatic jaw opening. Each gripper has two jaws (13, 14) in the form of two parallel, two-armed levers which can pivot in a plane radial to the planting wheel. Between and parallel to the gripper jaws (13, 14) is a pivotable setting lever (19), whose end facing the axis of rotation of the planting wheel is used to lock the jaws in the opening position while the other end (25) serves as a release element for closing the jaws (13) and as a backwards holder for the laid plants.
