Twisting wire left to right - using two twisting heads rotating round the twisting axis

Process uses two twisting heads, rotating at a constant speed round the twisting axis, alternately acting on the material to be twisted. The rotary speed and/or the rotary direction is different for both heads. At least one roller in each twisting head moves radially to the rotary axis of the twisting head. An electromagnetic field is used to exert movement on at least one roller in the twisting head, or the movement can be imparted by mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic means. The rollers of each twisting heads are at least partially replaced by runners sliding over the material being twisted. The system allows a high speed wire twisting operation, with very short twist change points, in a simple and trouble-free process.
