A method of cooling a nuclear power plant consists of using electric cooling of the type used in refrigeration instead of conventional cooling using flowing river water. The power plant can thus be located in remote, desert or uninhabitated areas away from rivers, or placed below ground in mines and shafts or in remote mountainous regions. Power plant can be sepd. from centres of population, and in remote regions away from earthquakes and possible sabotage.
