The U-shaped door case frame can have a door wing attached either way, left or right, and has ironmongery fixed on it to accommodate the anchoring bolts for the lower parts of the door hinge. The hardware fittings (11) have insertion sockets (10) for these bolts (12) engaging blind holes in the covering batten on the door case frame. The left and right-hand covering batten incorporates pairs of outward closed blind holes at top and bottom. In the area of a pair of holes the frame has a hole, open to the inside, set an an angle to the blind holes and between them, for a clamping screw on the ironmongery. This forms a reference hole for the blind holes used for fitting the lower parts. The lower hinge parts for the wing can be easily fitted either for left or right hanging.
