Animal foodstuff comprising hydrophilic mineral phosphates and (a) an additive comprising a glucose mass contg. dextrose 64%, maltose 13%, isomaltose 4%, triose 6%, tetraose 5%, higher sugars 8% or all other sugars, remaining after maize processing, or (b) an additive comprising Maerl (RTM) a calcium salt of marine origin, as a powder or dehydrated granules. The additives, additional to those of the parent patent, are useful in presenting iron salts, and vitamins and phosphates in a palatable form.
