A rocket launching tube (a) open ends, contains a missile which includes a main charge (2) for sustaining its flight after launching and the warhead (1), and behind it is launching member with a discharge nozzle (8) at the rear, a launching charge (7) and an auxiliary charge (6) attached by a connector (9) to a partition (3) connected to the rear of the missile. After completion of firing of the launching charge which causes movement of the launching member along the tube, the auxiliary charge fires, giving extra acceleration of the missile, the connection (9) being severed, and the partition (3) forming a chamber for the auxiliary charge until the missile is launched.
