Telephone exchange signal level survey system - uses selector of distributor to monitor selected points at regular intervals

The system is designed to measure the electrical signal level at various frequencies in a telephone exchange. Connections are made by selector commutators or amplifier distributors. Groups of points of measurement are connected during extremely short pulse intervals. In one method an emitter (E) is connected with selectors or commutators (S1, S2, S3.....Sn) and with a probe (2), an attenuator and a reaction gate (4), the latter connecting the probe with the selector. The probe is typically an electronic voltmeter and the attenuator a variable resistance. In another embodiment of the invention the selectors are amplifier distributors (A1, A2....An). The attenuator at the reference point is a function of the frequency.
