Administration of disodium chromoglycate or its biologues - by use of a primary dose which does not give inhibition of the allergy followed by a second anti-allergic dose

Procedure for the administration of disodium chromoglycate (I) (disodium salt of 1,3-bis(2-carboxychromen-5-yloxy)-2-hydroxy-propane) and its biologues for the prophylactic treatment of reaginine or non-reaginine type allergies, by administration of a first dose of (I) or its biologues which does not assure effective inhibition of the allergic symptoms; followed by a second effective anti-allergic dose of (I) or its biologues in such a quantity that this second dose accures a stronger inhibition of the allergic symptoms than the first dose. Used for prophylactic treatment of allergies such as rhinitis, food allergies, asthma etc. The method of dosage gives high yields of inhibition of allergies with a total dose less than that used previously. The patient is less likely to develop resistance to (I) or suffer from side-effects.
