Prevention of hair loss and seborrhoea - by physical scalp treatment and application of decolorised iodine iodide soln.

Strengthening of the hair, disappearance of seborrhoea, and prevention of hair loss is effected by the following treatment of the scalp:- (a) massage, (b) b rushing, (c) making a series of scratches and pricks with a very fine needle, (d) applying a compsn. comprising potassium iodide (3 g per 100 g), iodine (5g per 100g), distilled water (7g per 100g), 95 degrees alcohol (85g per 100g), and sufficient sodium hyposulphite to cause decolorisation, then diluted with 70-80% distilled water.
