The cartridge ejector is actuated by a tappet concentric to a revolver barrel, and has a grooved disc with one or more flexible members (17) with soft outer edges engaging in the groove in each cartridge (14). The two points where each engages in the groove are symmetrical in relation to a plane passing through the centre line of barrle (9) and cartridge. There can be a single flexible member with radial arms cut out to form protrusions symmetrical about this plane.
