Thermoelectric converter array for nuclear applications - in which thermal conductivity of transfer medium is regulated by a solid phase

The thermal conductivity of the gaseous transfer medium in thermoelectric convertors for use with nuclear reactors is adjusted by introducing a solid phase, pref. a metallic structure of the same thickness as the gas layer and permeable to it, esp. a metal screen. The gas is pref. helium and the metal screen is pref. insulated from the collectors by an alumina coating.
