A discharge system for bulk material such as flour, cement or salt stored in a silo, has an inverted cone (1) in the bottom, supporting the material contained inside the silo (16). This cone is rotated about its vertical centre line by a central drive shaft (3) driven from underneath through a belt drive (6) by a motor (8). The material supported on the inverted cone is rotated by it. It is also rotated at a channel (18) around the periphery of the cone, so as to fall through it with a discharge tube (10) below. The cone is mounted on rollers positioned under its periphery.
