The device has a discharge cone, consisting of pivoted overlapping cone segments (2), fastened to a carrier (1). With a change in the overlapping surface area as in an iris diaphragm, the segments open a discharge opening (5) of variable profile. The opening is closed by a closing unit. This consists of pivot levers (3), fastened to each segment, and an adjusting unit. This pivots the levers relative to the carrier. The adjusting unit has a guide ring, in which the levers are guided pivoted. A threaded rod held in the carrier, engages into the guide ring. USE/ADVANTAGE - Silos, ships, etc, esp. for polyester granules. Gives even outflow of bulk goods without formation of bridges.
