Liquefied gas tank safety device - has two interlocked quarter:turn taps upstream of safety valves

The safety device is for liquefied gas tanks containing propane etc. having a manifold communicating with the interior of the tank and two pipes each leading to a safety valve. In each pipe there is a quarter-turn tap (6, 7) mounted upstream of the safety valves, and a rigid connecting arm (10) pivots on the tap control levers (8, 9) at points (11, 12) clear of the lever pivot taxes. This arm can slide in relation to one of its pivot points for a distance such that when one of the levers is in the tap shut position the other is locked in the open position. There can be pins on the levers, one at least fitting in a slot (14) in the arm to allow the sliding movement.
