Tin relief decoration forming process - rubs or sculpts on metal plate to which tin adheres

The process forms tin relief decorations by rubbing or sculpture on a plate of copper or other metal to which the tin adheres. Application can be made direct onto the metal using a tin rod whose tip is covered with scouring paste and heated by a gas blowlamp at the same time as the plate. Thus the two metals are raised to exact temperatures. so that the tin can be made to adhere to the metal by successive rubbings to the pattern desired. Alternatively, sculpture can be carried out manually with different tools, using a coating of tin maintained while working in the past state by a blowlamp. The coating is applied to the plate which has been previously tinned.
