Single bed extending to double bed - has extension stored inside divan portion under single mattress and foldable out onto support legs

The single bed has a divan type base (1) covered by the mattress which rests on a flat surface. This forms a lid which pivots upwards to one side to expose the double bed extension stored inside the divan. The extension has a metal frame which is comprised of several links and sections (10, 11), these folding over each other. A wire base is fitted between the frame and a suitable mattress (2) may, if required, fold with the frame. On pulling out the frame, it is supported by two legs (21) at each end, these also folding out from within the confines of the frame.
