Distributing appts. for adding a measured quantity of mineral supplements to a trough for feeding cattle, partic. dairy cows, comprises a series of hoppers the lower portions of which are connected tangentially to a horizontal collector. This may be circular, square or rectangular and has a coaxial rod carrying as many slides as there are hoppers. The rod moves backwards and forwards in end bearings and is provided with adjustable stops at each end. Branches are connected along the length of the collector to which flexible sleeves are fixed, their lower ends going to the feeding troughs. The rod is actuated by the rocker-arm through the levers it moves the slides in the collector to the right or left pushing before them a quantity of the supplements depending upon the setting of the stops. Appts. can effect a precise dosage in each of the troughs in the mixing room by operating a single manual control.
