The wall covering consists of panels with a height which is half that of the premises where it is being installed. The panels are fixed at the top and bottom onto lathes (8) forming part of the wall. The sections consists of a tube (6) which has two horizontal parts in front (6a, 6a) spaced apart to determine the distance between the wall (7) and the cladding. The two horizontal parts form two slide pieces in which fit the bottomedge (1a) of the top panel and the top edge of the bottom panel. The tube is of rectangular cross-section with one side resting against the wall (7) and the other side can be pierced with holes for water pipes and electricity.
