Vertical joint for insulated wall panels - uses edge mounted sections to locate seal and form tongue-secured sliding clip in joint void

The connection is used between clad (5,6) insulating wall panels (2,3) in building construction, with compressible seals (12,13), and slidably mounted clips (9,11) located inside a joint cavity (15). 'Z' sections (7,8) are fixed to joined panel end arrisses, and have a profiled flange end return (7c) which houses a cladding return (5b), together with a seal rib (12a). The turns (7c) also combine to form a bevelled dovetail section rib which projects into a cavity (15), with the clip (9) sliding onto the rib to secure the assembly. The clips (9) may have 'T' section rear face grooves (9a) for connection by a slidably inserted 'I' section tie bar (14).
