3-(4-Bromophenyl)-N-methyl-3-(3-pyridyl)-allylamine (I), pref. in the form of the germoetric isomer (Ia), and its pharmaceutically tolerable salts are new. (I) is an antidepressant, as shown by inhibition of mouse brain 5-hydroxytryptamine and noradrenaline uptake in vitro and in vivo.
