The equipment gives access to the square drive head kof a valve mounted in a buried pipe. It incorporates a socket (5) enclosing the head (2), and cast integrally with the dielectric pipe cladding and sealing material. A two-part telescopic tubular extension, with the external part fixed and the inner one sliding in it (6,6b) has a seal between the parts (6c), the lower end of the fixed part being secured in the socket. A removable plug (7) fits in the upper end of the inner part. The extension can be of plastic, the outer part being glued into the socket, and can have a reducing end to allow fitting to valves of different dimensions.
