Building framework assembly by bolting - has beams and columns with flanges and end plates drilled to include registered holes

The framework consists of columns (2), formed from rolled steel column sections which have their flanges provided with sets of holes (10). Cross beams ae formed from rolled steel beam sections and have end plates with complementary sets of holes to those of the columns. The cross beams are joined to the columns by bolts. Longitudinal beams (24), also formed from rolled steel beam sections, each have a pair of gusset plates (22) bolted to the end of each web and these are bolted to vertical stiffeners (20) attached to the web of the cross beams. Brackets (30) and bent beams (40) can also be used with the same fixing method.
