A rectifier circuit block is particularly intended for use with vehicle alternators, the block being encapsulated in a thermo-setting resin, leaving some specific areas clear of resin. The block is shaped generally to the form of the end of the alternator housing and is bolted to it. The three phase wires of the alternator pass through the block such that they can be soldered to the block terminals (3a) from the outer faces (2). The block consists of three conducting plates (1, 2) forming a thin sandwich enclosing the rectifiers and associated circuitry. Insulation of the phase wires from the plates is by conically shaped extensions (4a) from the moulding extending through the outer plate.
