Automatic battery cut=out for vehicle in case of collision - has ball and socket contact balanced on rod with detachable mass

An automatic cut-out for a battery is used in a vehicle. It consists of a ball (B) which fits into a socket shaped contact (A) which is broken in case of a collision. The ball (B) is balanced on a rod (C) which has a detachable mass (D) attached to its other end. The electric cut-out decreases the risk of a fire outbreak following an accident. Rapid deceleration or mechanical shocks cause the ball to jump out of the socket.
