Fence post which yields under impact - has base plate bolted to rubber pad that is retained in head of buried reinforced concrete base

The fence-post mounting includes springs or rubber pads to permit the post (6) to yield, under impact. The post may be in two pieces, a buried base section (1) and a projecting post (6). The base may be of reinforced concrete and the post of concrete. The hed of the base may be specially formed into an anchorage box e.g. a rectangular section opening (2) with tapered bolt holes. Anchor bolts (4) with enlarged rubber heads (3) locating in the opening (2), may pass through the holes for nuts to secure the posts (6).
