The prefabricated reinforced concrete screw threaded pile consists of a metal top (54) offering a location for rotating the pile, a metal reinforcing core attached to the top and a body of concrete (12), generally conical, which has an exterior surface provided with a uniform spiral screw. The spirals have a small pitch, six being provided per 304.8 mm, and a small angle to the horizontal so that the pile can penetrate the soil without much torsional resistance. The reinforcing core consists of longitudinal bars attached to the top piece and associated with reinforcing rings attached to these bars, and a helicoidal reinforcement associated with the concrete spirals.
