The earth grill (1) is formed by a mesh of electrical conductors. The output conductors (2) of the earth grill are part of the grill and have no joints in them. Thus the electrical resistance of the grill is a minimum and there is no possibility of breakage and corrosion at joints when the grill is buried. The output conductors (2) may be spread out to give separate connections or they may be brought together to make a single connection which is arranged above the surface of the earth.
