Antitheft device fitted on road vehicles - uses electrical switches on barrel of lock with rapid make=and=break circuit breakers controlled by cam

Anti-thief device is for cars with barrel type locks. The barrel controls a part of the latch which is used to immobilise the steering gear when locked. When the barrel is turned by a key, a contactor closes electric circuits that control the engine. The contacts provided for closing and opening these circuits are interrupted by contacts controlled by a cam that moves with the lock barrel. These have an actioning unit that moves in a straight line and controls through two position springs a moving contact brought up to a fixed contact. The actioning of the contact interruptors is by pushers with return springs parallel to the barrel axis moved by cam solid with the barrel.
