NC and cNC machine tool control system - with tool head movements resolved along three axes and head speeds reduced accordingly

The control system is for NC and CNC machine tools which have more than one tool head. The desired movement of each tool head is first resolved along three axes one of which is common. Head speeds along the common axis are then reduced to the speed of the head moving slowest in this direction. Speeds along other directions are scaled down accordingly. The control system includes interpolators one for each axis, the control frequency being determined from tool head speeds and distance to be travelled.
