The grinding machine consisting of a transverse carriage (1) on which a grinding column is supported so that it can turn where a grinding arm (4) carried on the column (2) has a driven grinding disc (7). The transverse carriage (1) can be adjusted in a plane inclined with reference to the horizontal plane. The workpiece surface is parallel to this and the grinding disc (7) so rotates that the ground material is flung in the direction away from the grinding dust collector (4) and transverse carriage (1). The grinding dust collector (13) is directly connected at and below the grinding disc (7).
